The Wimbledon Championship is played on grass courts. It was the 128th edition of the Wimbledon Championship and the third Grand Slam event of the year. The Wimbledon Championship was played from 23 June to 6 July 2014.

Jitu Rai is a 26-year-old Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Army. Jitu Rai had won a silver in the Munich World Cup and a gold in the Maribor (Slovenia) World Cup in air pistol. These wins help him to rise to World No. 1 spot in the men's 10m air pistol category, according to the International Shooting Federation (ISSF) rankings.
